Got discounted tickets from my brother (perks of being a radio station employee). Headed to the park on a Monday thinking that there would be less “tourists” pero wag ka, ANG DAMING TAO! YIKES!

Pumila, sumimangot, umiyak. Kawawa the kids. Andie went ballistic on her third ride. Tantrums tantrums tantrums!

Christmas 2008 = HAPPY CHRISTMAS.

Started the day early. Woke up 6am kahit na I was puyat (barely had a sleep coz we spent Christmas eve at my in-laws) to prepare my famous baked ziti, which I brought to my mom’s as part of my contribution to our Christmas lunch. Made buko pandan a day before the celebration para naman dagdag to my contribution.

It was a festive day. Spent with loved ones. Good food, warm company. Gift giving, picture taking. Kids laughing, all smiling =D

HAPPY CHRISTMAS, indeed.

REDBOX, Greenbelt. December 21, 2008. Lunch hour.

It was a fun-filled afternoon. Updating, laughing, and teasing. Obviously, everyone missed everyone.

Just a little history…team BEST started year 2003. We were hired to be part of Citiphone’s beautiful family. The group gelled right away. Kwentuhans, kalokohans. Then, when we were all regularized (oops, meron palang isang hindi), we were supervised by NOREENE – the most gorgeous tl in Citibank – syempre biased ako =P. The team had its ups and downs but mostly it was just a happy journey.

After 5 years, I decided to organize a get-together (since busy busyhan ang lahat). It was also a surprise for Noreene since ikakasal na siya…finally! The get-together was 1 month in the making. Grabe, TOXIC! Hirap to text everyone. Lahat naka cc. Text brigade, phone inquiries, reservation, confirmation – they were all worth it. MASAYA naman lahat, diba?!

CHRISTMAS THOUGHT

I’ve been very busy lately. Cleaning and decorating. Shopping. Running errands. Whew! Feeling the Christmas rush. Don’t get me wrong. I love Christmas (love it now). Amazing how kids can change your views and priorities in life. And it really makes me smile every time they would appreciate even the littlest thing.

PANAGINIP at BANGUNGOT

My husband woke me up at 7am so we could see the “Dream Match of the Year”, Pacquia-DelaHoya fight. Not via pay per view but still online. Sites that allow you to watch fights like this for FREE. Thanks to the net =D

Had a hard time finding one since most of them are not “legit” but luck still on our side coz we were able to find one.

The fight was not that exciting to watch. Though Manny Pacquiao fought in its truest sense of the word, I felt that Oscar DelaHoya just gave the fight away. From round 1 to 8 it was all Pacquiao’s. DelaHoya was like a baby the whole time, body almost in fetal position, face always covered.

BRAVO to Pacquiao! His boxing skills, foot work, strategies helped him win this battle. A Philippine Pride, indeed. This match is a dream come true for Pacquiao and a nightmare for DelaHoya (or was it all about MONEY?!).

Bangs Attack

My kids had their hair cut last week. Alekx wanted some side bangs…dalaga na talaga anak ko. Actually, she had this style before but only now I realized that my first born is a grown up already. Time flies. To match her sister, decided full bangs for Andie. It matches her naughty side. =D

AMEN

December 6, it was my daughter’s first communion. I could see in her eyes how excited she was. I am sure; she will make us kulit every Sunday to go to church.

Weekend Getaway

Spent my weekend with the barkada at my friend’s house in Tagaytay. It was a much deserved trip since everyone was “intoxicated” with stress from work, family life.

Picked Shawie up at Medical City and proceeded to Makati to meet up with Anj. We had our dinner at Dencio’s Paseo Center while waiting for our “designated driver”, Leanne. Bought our booze then Tagaytay. Traffic was unbelievable at slex…buti pa sa north =(

Arrived 1130pm. Did not want to waste our time so we started our drinking session right away. Haaay sarap! Everything was perfect…company, the climate. Nonstop chikahan…reminiscing…updating…SAYA! Finished at 3am. One bottle lang of tequila rose.

Woke up at 1130am. Longest sleep I ever had since…I don’t know. Tagal na talaga since I had this sleep. 3pm, had our lunch at Hawaiian Barbeque. Cozy place, good food.

Bought some pasalubong: pineapple, señorita, goodies from Rowena’s. Tapos off to Manila na. Ayun, natraffic na naman kami (Sta. Rosa and SLEX). To cap the night off, had coffee at Starbucks Greenbelt 3.

MRP

MRP...as in Most Requested Pasta. Baked Ziti. My kids' favorite...mine, too. I don't know. I have cooked different pastas but this one is a knock out...never fails!

I tried this first in Sbarro way way back. Fell in love with it right away. Retrieved a recipe from the net, added my own “touch”. It was a trial and error thing then to my surprise, got the taste I have always wanted. SARRAAAPP!!!

It’s been the most requested pasta in family gatherings. Kaya nga medyo pagod din ako these past few days, weeks, months. Birthdays, birthdays, birthdays. Monthly ata my birthday..hehe! Okay lang =) As long as my family loves and enjoys eating my baked ziti…won’t get tired. BRING IT ON!

I HEART CHOCO CRINKLES

Nov 12…my first attempt to make chocolate crinkles. I was so excited. Ako lahat, from buying the ingredients to washing.

Well, for a first timer…not bad…actually, it was GOOD! My kids and husband loved it. It was perfect (hehe love your own =p)…chewy, moist inside, taste is not “commercialized”.

Wanted to post the ingredients here but my husband advised me not to coz might think of selling them…hmmm, good idea =) YUMMY YUMMY CHOCOLATEY!

GIRL BONDING

Received a call from Anj..."tara, jo alis tayo!" syempre ako normal kaladkarin replied..."what time?=)"

Anj picked me up and decided to have our girl bonding at eastwood. had our early dinner at pasto. sarap talaga ng food...our comfort food...pizza and pasta! went shopping...window shopping muna then jack's loft for my vodka ice and anj's margarita. balik shopping ulit...this time may nabili na kami. got a pair of sandals and anj a vest.

Hi, bloggers! It’s my first time here and really excited to write my first entry though not really a writer/blogger at heart. Just wanna experience how it’s like to blog…hehe!

As part of my first blog, just wanna share with everyone my kids’ halloween experience. Yes…guessed it right! The costumes, candies, trick or treat. Name it, we’ve got it.

Month of September…started browsing the net to look for halloween costumes. Decided that my 3 year old Andie would be Little Red Riding Hood and her 8 year old Ate Alekx would be a Sexy Pirate.

Haaay kids! They are soooo CUTE! Kakatuwa to dress them up (“,)

October 29/Pompeii Preschool

Andie had her first Halloween party. Grabe, kids were all in their “bestest” costumes.

Next day, October 30 went to Trinoma Mall for the kids’ trick or treat activity. Same costumes (had them washed naman =]), different setting. Mall was packed with kids. Lines for the loot bags were as long as Rapunzel’s hair. Grabe talaga! It was past 11 already when we got our loot bags. Just decided to grab our lunch and headed back to the Activity Center. Spent more than an hour just to get in. Haaayy! Really need to make sacrifices for your kids’ happiness. It was worth it naman. Alekx and Andie had fun. It was a HAPPY HAPPY, JOY JOY day!
