Virus Attack

My poor baby. Got sick right after our boracay trip. Friday morning, noticed that she had lost her appetite. Started to vomit, then diarrhea in the afternoon. 1030pm rushed her to St. Luke's Emergency Unit. Got fever already but when we left home, wala pa. Was given treatment (paracetamol and oral hydrite). 130am, was advised that we could go home na raw since all her lab tests (urine, fecal, and cbc were good).
Saturday. Andie was under observation. Temperature would not go down (though low grade fever lang naman). Still vomiting and diarrhea. Got really worried but her pediatrician advised us to just calm down and wait til morning.

Sunday morning. Andie's condition worsened. Would not take anything. No solids, no fluids. Afraid that she might get dehydrated. Took her to the emergency again. Mommy's right! Papunta na siya sa dehydration. My baby was admitted to Pedia Unit. Rota virus (common virus that causes diarrhea and vomiting). For rehydration. Was given I.V. Naka 3 "bottles" din siya.

The next day, okay na. Okay na for discharge. Thank GOD! Pero under observation and medication pa rin. Haaayyyy! Hirap magkasakit pag bata. Wawa talaga =((

Bakasyon Grande!

Arrived at Caticlan Airport past 10am already. More than an hour late as scheduled. Delayed flight via Seair. We were picked up by Asya staff and brought us to its private cove (via speed boat). From there, van took us to Asya Hotel and we were greeted by the staff’s warmest smiles. Gave us cold towels and cold drinks. From there, I knew we will have a superb stay in Asya.

The place was great. First class architecture and design. Modern zen-ish type. I would love it to my own home. Exterior and interior are perfect. Space of our room is just right…right for a small family. Everything was excellent. Beautiful place, friendly staff, yummy food, exceptional service. Exceeded our expectations. Bakasyon grande it is!

Day 1. Lunch at Shakey’s. Stayed at Station 2 beach front for the rest of the day. Asya pool. Dinner at Mang Inasal D’Mall.

Day 2. Complimentary breakfast. Station 1 beach front. Lunch at Smoke. Went to Asya’s private cove…one word…WOW! Has its view deck where you could see the beach…relaxing…haaayyy ;)) Asya pool. Dinner at Hungry Monkey…loved the food!
Day 3. Complimentary breakfast (best part)…hehe! Went to Station 1 again but rained in the morning so decided to just stay in the hotel’s pool. Lunch at Hungry Monkey…favorite! At 2pm, went to Asya’s private cove where we waited til our scheduled flight.

Flying back to Manila was the lowest point of our trip. Delayed flight. Transferred to a different airline (seair to zest air). Arrived at MIA at 6pm.

Overall, one of the best trips ever. Lawrence, kids, Asya Hotel, Boracay. PERFECT!

Officially, it's SUMMERTIME!

April 4-5, 2009. Needed some serious destressing so genn and i decided to plan our first summer getaway. Agreed to have an overnight stay...where else but the nearest getaway...batangas! The search for a place started a week before our chosen dates. Unfortunately, the places (like la luz, palm beach) we inquired about were all fully booked. Thank you to my friend's friend and he recommended Tali Beach. Heard of the place many times. Stayed at Jo and Johnny's Dive Inn. It was a very nice place...enticing pool. LOVE IT!

Baguio City...Early Summer Getaway

March 6-9, 2009. Went to Baguio with the family. Kids were very excited since it was their first time to visit the city. My mom and mother in law were there also…both needed a vacation.
For my husband, it was not really his sabbatical. He was there a week before for work at Good Shepherd but he still managed spend quality time with the family.
First destination was the Mines View Park. Mom was very frightened of the view…or should say she is afraid of heights, the reason why she did not enjoy the place. Kids are kids. They were all game. They tried costumes of Igorots…oh my, they were all CUUUTTEE!
Then went to Wright Park…who would miss the horseback riding. Thought kids would be scared of the smelly creatures but they braved it and got a 30 minute pleasure from them…hehe =D

Final destination of our first day in the summer capital was The Mansion. Nothing special. Just took pictures…
We went to Strawberry Farm first on our second day. Kids were all smiles because they had the chance to harvest strawberries. I did too. Then the oldies bought their pasalubongs…the veggies at La Trinidad Market…gaaaad! They were all cheap. Love it!

Off to Camp John Hay but did not explore the place much since all were exhausted. Lawrence and the kids checked The Manor and had pictures taken…so touristy!

Baguio Trip was a very joyful experience. Kiddies enjoyed, also the oldies. Definitely not the last time to visit the place.
